Job Description

Post Placement Support Officer

Employment Services | Full-Time | Shepparton, VIC

At MADEC, we don’t just help people into jobs — we support them to stay there, grow, and build a better future. We’re looking for a Post Placement Support Officer to join our Shepparton team and play a key role in creating long-term employment success stories across the Goulburn Valley.

Why Shepparton?

Shepparton is a vibrant regional hub with strong industries across agriculture, food processing, warehousing, and manufacturing — meaning real opportunities for our participants and strong partnerships with local employers.

About the Role

As a Post Placement Support Officer, you’ll support participants after they’ve secured employment — helping them settle in, overcome challenges, and stay employed long-term.

You’ll also manage employment outcomes and claims, making sure everything is compliant, on track, and contributing to strong site performance.

What You’ll Be Doing

Supporting Participants

  • Provide ongoing, tailored post-placement support
  • Conduct regular check-ins to keep participants on track
  • Identify challenges early and step in with solutions
  • Re-engage and re-place participants if needed

Working with Local Employers

  • Build strong relationships with Shepparton employers
  • Support workplace integration and performance
  • Mediate issues and keep placements on track
  • Coordinate wage subsidies where relevant

Outcomes & Compliance

  • Manage post-placement and outcome claims
  • Ensure documentation is accurate and audit-ready
  • Monitor hours and intervene where outcomes are at risk
  • Collaborate with internal teams to maximise performance

Team Collaboration

  • Work closely with Job Coaches and site teams
  • Contribute to performance discussions and improvements
  • Share insights to improve participant outcomes

What You’ll Bring

  • Strong people skills — you build trust quickly
  • Confident handling challenging conversations
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset
  • Great time management and attention to detail
  • Ability to work with diverse participants and stakeholders
  • Comfortable working with data, targets, and compliance

Essential Requirements

  • Current Driver’s Licence
  • National Police Check
  • Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain)

Desirable:

  • Certificate IV in Employment Services

Who we are

Through our Employment Services, Education & Training, Labour Hire, PALM Scheme, and Indigenous Programs, we create pathways to sustainable employment and stronger communities.

Why Join MADEC?

  • Make a genuine difference in the Shepparton community
  • Join a supportive, values-driven team
  • Be part of a growing organisation with strong purpose
  • Play a key role in long-term employment success — not just placements
