Through the PALM scheme, MADEC employs workers from nine pacific islands and Timor-Leste to perform work in unskilled, low-skilled and semi-skilled positions where there are not enough local workers. We currently have over 3,000 workers per annum working in horticulture, fisheries, meatworks and hospitality, and this is set to expand further.
About the Role
We are seeking a self-motivated and people-oriented account manager to oversee our current accounts predominately in the horticulture sector, and support further growth and diversification into new industries and sectors.
You will be responsible for:
- Maintaining and strengthening client relationships ensuring client business objectives are understood and met;
- Placing suitable applicants into employment opportunities;
- Sourcing accommodation solutions for workers;
- Sourcing new host employers and using your networking and communication skills to increase our client base;
- Conducting induction of workers to Australia and the local work environment in partnership with the client;
- Providing ongoing support and assistance to our Seasonal Worker Program participants;
- Providing leadership to a worker liaison officer who will assist in assist in addressing worker welfare and needs;
- Assisting visiting workers with integration into the local community and the local laws and way of life; and
- Identifying and managing all risks associated to the labour hire relationship with your clients.
About You
To succeed in this role, will be a resilient individual who has the ability to develop strong, client-focused relationships. You will thrive on nurturing client networks and have the ability to quickly build strong rapport with key stakeholders. You are a problem solver with a focus on client-centered solutions and enjoy supporting workers to ensure they are successful in their employment. Experience in the labour hire industry is also highly regarded; however, if you have well established relationship management skills, and a desire to achieve results, then we want to hear from you.
This position is not your typical 9am - 5pm role so the successful applicant will need to be flexible with their working hours. Some after-hours work will be required.
Drivers Licence and Police Check are a requirement of this role.
