Job Description
About the Role:
Our payroll function is central to the success on our Labour Hire division. It is responsible for providing professional payroll support to approximately 1,500 worker each week. As a point of contact for our field staff, our workers, and our host employers, you will provide accurate and timely service in all matters relating to payroll.
As a payroll professional, you will be responsible for:
End to end processing of a dedicated client group on a weekly basis;
Maintaining robust data checks and audit processes to ensure accuracy of payroll and compliance to industrial instruments;
Maintaining the payroll system to ensure accurate and up to date employee master file information;
Responding to employee payroll queries and requests;
Preparing payroll reports and participating in end of pay/month/FY activities; and
Following up on payroll enquiries with host employers.
You will have a passion for data, be competent in the use of excel, and have keen eye for attention to detail. Payroll or finance experience is desirable, but more important is your ability to interpret data and problem solve using an analytical and logical approach and systems thinking, we can train the rest!
Desired Skills and Experience
About you Ideally, you are an experienced payroll professional with a few years of experience in high volume payroll. For success, you must have:
Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy;
Intermediate to advance skills in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas including sumif, v-lookup);
Knowledge and ability to interpret Modern Awards
Exceptional communication skills with a high level of service orientation;
The ability to problem solves and prioritise your workload; and
Resilience in the face of tight timeframes.
